All Objects must reside under a Category. Therefore, each Knowledge Module must have at least one Category - but will often have several. The Categories are user-defined. You can determine their Name, Icon to display, and which Base Classes they can hold. There is no theoretical limit to the number of Categories in a Knowledge Module, but excessive use of Categories can cause clutter and should be avoided. Each Knowledge Module in a Project can have a different set of Categories.
